WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT HORROR EXPRESS
Marc Shemmans has done a brilliant job with his new horror magazine THE HORROR EXPRESS. It's extremely professional and (having been a magazine editor myself) I know how much work he's put into it. Check it out!

A refreshingly professional debut! From an appreciative illustrator's point of view, the interior art is reproduced well and worked to fit the page as well as possible, without being cropped, fuzzy or overly distorted. One can really have a good look at the work by such artists as Minnion and Koszowski, whose work is characteristic of the better publications in the small press.

I got my contributor's copy of Horror Express today. Wow! What a classy looking magazine - looks pro all the way. The art work is excellent, the cover professional and eye-catching. This is certainly one of the best-looking magazines I've been in! It easily compares with Flesh & Blood, Black October, Cemetery Dance, City slab and other pro mags.

I received the first issue of The Horror Express and I wanted to say congratulations. The first issue looks great. That Alan Clark cover really is wonderful, a perfect way to launch your new magazine. The interior art is wonderful as well, as one would expect with artists such as Keith Minnion and Sabrina.
Allen Koszowski
I wanted to congratulate you on issue one of The Horror Express; superb in every way.

I've just completed an interview with Marc Shemmans for his new magazine, Horror Express. The first edition has just come out - which contains an interview with my IP colleague, Gabby, and a short story by me among many other interesting articles and stories. I urge everyone to support Marc's venture, because it's difficult nowadays to make a success of a genre magazine. At one time, there were lots of them, and they provided a superb opportunity for new writers to 'break their teeth' by selling short stories, before embarking on the mammoth task of selling a novel. It's very sad that the genre magazine market has withered. So, go and take a look at the'Horror Express' web site. My interview will appear in the next edition of the magazine, which is due out in June. As you can imagine, it's difficult for small presses as well as independent magazines nowadays. Therefore, we need as much support and advice as we can get.

Dear Mr. Shemmans
I just wanted to email you to say how much I enjoyed reading issue one of your magazine. The stories were amazing; I especially liked the one by Joanne Shemmans, Reprisal, and Darrel Joyce's Lick Your Lips. Being predominantly a 'gore' fan, this type of story really appeals to me, and it's great to read something which includes bloodshed, with the added bonus of being beautifully written. I hope more work from both these writers will be appearing in further issues. I haven't read a better magazine for ages, and I look forward to subscribing - which will be soon! Once again, thank you for such an interesting and captivating new mag!
Cheers, Katie Berridge.
Dear Mr. Shemmans
Issue 4 has impressed me very much. The mix of shorts, poetry and art is bordering on the sublime. Interviews, reviews the history of Tim Lebbon was magic. It's good to see a magazine that is trying (and succeeding) to create a place where established talent and people working towards a goal can share the same pages. Hadesgate Publications have subscribed on my behalf and I wait with bated breath to receive issue 5.
Keep up the good work.
Garry Charles.
